BEHIND THE SCENES WITH OUR FAVORITE DREAMERS AND EXECUTIVES
Meet Sandra Sánchez, a passionate woman who loves clothes made with love, fabrics with a story, decoration, creativity, and recycling. She is the co-founder and head of production at Adrissa, and in her free time, she develops creative ideas, travels by motorcycle, and enjoys her home and family.
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE A GIRL?
The first thing I remember is wanting to be an accountant. In high school, I received training on how to start a business, which gave me the foundation to develop what is now Adrissa and made me very clear that organizations must have clarity and order in all their responsibilities to their partners.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO WORK IN A TEXTILE COMPANY, AND SPECIFICALLY IN WOMEN'S CLOTHING?
Life brought Adrissa to us along the way. When we started, we made clothes for brands in the city. Later, we began producing our own designs, which were very well received in the local and national market. At that time, fashion was a completely new topic for the city.
WHAT RECOMMENDATION DO YOU HAVE FOR WOMEN WHO WANT TO START THEIR OWN BUSINESS?
Passion! Love what you do and you're sure to succeed. If it doesn't work out... it wasn't meant to be; better things will come along the way.
WHAT IS YOUR MISSION IN THE COMPANY? SPEAKING OF THE PEOPLE YOU WORK WITH.
For me, the word business means win-win; I love that all negotiations in our company have this principle.
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST LESSON YOU HAVE LEARNED IN YOUR COMPANY?
Believing is creating, being positive, and doing it on all three levels of your consciousness: thinking it, saying it, and feeling it. If you believe it or say it, but don't feel it in your heart, it won't happen.
Could you name a mistake you made in your company experience where you learned to improve your work?
We went through a period when we were overcome with fear and made the drastic decision to halt production. I learned that you should never let fear be your guide. It's better to slow down, but never stop completely, because it's much more draining afterward.
NAME YOUR BIGGEST SUCCESS (OR SOMETHING YOU ARE VERY PROUD OF) IN YOUR BUSINESS EXPERIENCE.
I am very happy that thanks to the company we have maintained, my family and other families in the city have lived comfortably and happily.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU DO IN THE MORNING TO START YOUR DAY OFF RIGHT?
I am grateful for life, for being able to get up, for my husband, my children, my family, my company, my city, the people who work with us, and for the energy I have to give my all each day.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING AFTER A LONG DAY AT WORK?
Arriving at a neutral space, my home, I feel like I'm in a bubble of tranquility.
